Parkmobile’s mobile payment system allows motorists to pay for parking through an application on their mobile phone, eliminating the need to carry change, predict their length of stay, and continually feed the meter. The company also is a leading provider of digital parking permits. Parkmobile’s solutions offer a strong business case to municipalities, universities, and private operators of all sizes by significantly increasing revenue, while reducing costs, traffic congestion, fuel usage, and vehicle emissions.
“Parkmobile is leading new payments initiatives for municipalities and other parking providers. We are honored to be selected to present amongst the key players in the technology industry. In addition, we are excited to demonstrate how our solution works at the upcoming Venture Atlanta event. Our rapidly growing member base appreciates Parkmobile’s innovation, which has led to the recent addition of new emerging payment options such as PayPal and the Parkmobile Wallet,” said Cherie Fuzzell, CEO of Parkmobile.
Since becoming the first company to introduce mobile apps for parking in the U.S. in 2009, Parkmobile has expanded its footprint to more than 500 cities, universities, and commercial and transit locations in the U.S. Parkmobile’s solutions are widely available in cities including Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Indianapolis, Houston and Atlanta (including Georgia Tech). More than 1.5 million members have signed up for Parkmobile in the U.S. of which 1.1 million members have downloaded the company’s apps, making it the most widely used mobile payment solution in the parking industry.
Both presenting companies and conference attendees will have opportunities to network with regional and national venture capitalists and investors during the two-day event. Now entering its 13th year, Venture Atlanta has been instrumental in helping companies raise over $1 billion to-date. The conference provides an invaluable experience for entrepreneurs, resulting in funding, national investor exposure, and mentoring from successful technology executives.
“Having served as CEO of five successful technology companies, Venture Atlanta has always had the reputation as the easiest, most effective way to get introduced to potential investors,” said Wain Kellum, CEO of Vocalocity and Venture Atlanta board member. “The value-add provided by the selection and coaching process always strengthened my presentation and I know it will do the same for the companies selected. Venture Atlanta continues to be a must-participate event for any entrepreneur who is seeking funding.”
“Venture Atlanta is one of the top places in the country to see high quality companies that are well on their way to success,” said Wain Kellum, CEO of Vocalocity and Venture Atlanta board member. “It is always apparent that the companies are thoroughly vetted and well prepared, which makes the connections gained by attending always valuable.”
