Nico du Plessis joins Parkmobile as Chief Marketing Officer
Mobile veteran brings strategic, interactive consumer expertise to leading mobility payment solutions provider

Nico brings a proven track record in mobile, online and traditional marketing, eCommerce, omnichannel retail, and digital strategy. He joins Parkmobile from FitForCommerce, a leader in driving growth and innovation through Mobile, eCommerce & Omnichannel Retail. Nico was previously VP of eCommerce, Mobile & Marketing at Purchasing Power, a Top 120 Internet Retailer, and led Mobile at The Weather Channel. Under his leadership, The Weather Channel Mobile exceeded over 100 Million app downloads and ranked among the top five most downloaded apps in the Apple App Store. Nico led Mobile and Internet Marketing Stragey at Victoria’s Secret, where he launched the first mobile optimized site and smartphone apps for the company. At A.T. Kearney, Nico led Marketing, Bidding & Legacy Plans for Mega-Sporting Events worldwide, including the 2010 FIFA World CupTM, the Rugby World Cup, and New York City’s 2012 Olympic bidding efforts. He previously served on the North American Board of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) and led the MMA’s Mobile Video Committee.

Nico has always been passionate about building businesses, and in his early career, he was voted as one of the Top Five Entrepreneurs in South Africa. He obtained his MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and was leading global engagements with A.T Kearney Management Consulting and Deloitte in Chicago. Since moving to Atlanta, Nico has been very involved in the local community and recently launched Youth Rugby for Elementary Schools in the northern suburbs. He lives in Johns Creek with his wife and three kids.
