Parkmobile Expands Parking Options with Mobile Payments for Union Square in New Hope, Pennsylvania
New Hope, PA – April 13, 2016— Parkmobile, LLC, the leading provider of on-demand and prepaid mobile payments for on- and off-street parking, announced today that the company would be expanding its mobile payments solution in downtown New Hope to offer off-street parking payments in Union Square. Anyone parking at Union Square to shop, dine, or visit will be able to use the app to pay for parking in 500 spaces at the Union Square parking lot. Customers can pay to park with their smartphones using Parkmobile’s app for iPhone, Android, Windows, Amazon, and Blackberry phones.
"I am thrilled to find a phone-based parking solution that will not only allow my clients to pay for parking without leaving the comforts of their cars but also is easily enforceable with the use of the license plate number,” says Brad Michael, Partner at Union Square. “This system will complement our current Pay & Display meters perfectly. Giving clients lots of options to pay is becoming the best solution."
Parkmobile’s mobile payments system is very simple and easy to use. Customers first must register by downloading the mobile app in their phone’s app store or online at www.parkmobile.com. Once registered, they may use the mobile app, internet, or the toll-free number listed on signage to pay for parking. After setting up their account, customers can immediately start using the system with their registered mobile phone. Mobile app users may also choose to receive alerts and reminders 15 minutes prior to their parking session expiring.
“We are looking forward to furthering our opportunities in New Hope since we first introduced our service last summer,” said Jon Ziglar, CEO of Parkmobile, LLC. “Parkmobile has been well-received since our initial launch, and we are excited to broaden our services to Union Square so that we can continue to enhance the customer parking experience.”
Additionally, enforcement officers will be able to see that a motorist has paid with Parkmobile using their wireless handheld devices, so customers should not worry when the meter does not change. Parkmobile’s mobile payment solution is an added payment option and is intended to complement existing parking payment options. All existing forms of payment are still valid for meter use.
