Parkmobile, LLC Launches its Mobile Payment Solutions in Downtown Memphis, TN

April 8, 2015

With the launch of Parkmobile, residents, businesses, and visitors will be able to conduct parking transactions by mobile phone in Memphis, Tennessee

Memphis, TN – April 8, 2015—Parkmobile, LLC, the leading provider of on-demand mobile payments for on- and off-street parking, announced today that its revolutionary service is now available in  approximately 1,700 off street parking spaces managed by the Downtown Memphis Commission (DMC) in the City’s central business district (CBD). Customers will be able to pay for parking from their smartphones by downloading Parkmobile’s mobile applications for iPhone, Android, Windows, Blackberry, and Amazon Fire smartphones.

"We could not be happier to provide our mobile payments solutions to the Memphis CBD," said Cherie Fuzzell, CEO of Parkmobile, LLC. “We truly believe that by allowing customers to eliminate the need to swipe a card or feed coins to a meter, our service enhances the parking experience. We are very excited to partner with the Downtown Memphis Commission to offer this technology, making it more convenient for customers.”

Parkmobile’s mobile payment system is simple and easy to use. Customers can register online at or download the mobile app in their phone’s app store. Once registered, they may use the mobile app, internet, or a toll-free number to pay for parking.

Once a customer’s account is set up, they can instantly begin using the system with their registered mobile phone. Using a wireless handheld device, enforcement officers will know that a motorist has paid with the Parkmobile app, so customers should not worry if the meter does not change. As an added bonus, mobile app users have the option to receive alerts and reminders 15 minutes prior to expiration of their parking session. Time limits on meters still apply and the Parkmobile app will not allow users to purchase more time than allotted by the meters.
